Incomplete Equations of Gender Equality

I see the world crashing down,

Gender inequality making howling sounds,

I wonder if someone hears it,

Speaks up  for someone’s justice,

Or neglects the voice of one’s own gender,

Becomes ignorant of what once did their emotional blunder.

In doing the fabricated duty of a mother,

She made her daughter-in-law suffer tortures

Her father had not payed  the appropriate dowry,

Now she stands helpless seeing her dignity buried.

They told their daughters don’t go to schools,

Your chances of safety are minuscule,

Despite knowing the problem we fail to understand,

Sitting aback is not a stand,

If you are disrespected it isn’t your fault,

It cannot put your progress at a halt.

Changing the mentality of the incorrect person,

You neglected the faults in your own son,

You would fetch excuses at that time,

While your daughter’s freedom you sublimed.

You told your son not to cry,

Because it isn’t masculine to let emotions fly,

When he was sad he held back the tears,

When he wanted to be soft he casted fear ,

So many restrictions he died from inside,

The world perceived his freedom but never saw what he hides.

Indeed the world is biased to women,

But it ignores when ‘something’ happens with men,

Still in dilemma, I fail to see;

Why education cannot set your thinking free.

Dragging urbanisation we fail to view,

The differences in gender acquiring unfavourable hues,

I want to see the world set free,

Unharnessed by sexism which will be forced  to flee,

Where ‘he’ and ‘she’ hold equal respect,

And development flies gaining all prospects.
